The Burberry Girl: An Iconic Evening Makeup Tutorial

IMG_3505

I can’t believe that I have never done a makeup tutorial on my blog yet!! Today I want to teach you guys an effortless, gorgeous, and iconic Burberry look that is perfect for a night out. This look was seen on an ad for Burberry Beauty on Cara Delevingne as well as in the Spring/Summer 2016 show. When it comes to beauty and makeup, no one does it quite like Burberry. It has quickly become my all-time favorite makeup line.

Start off by applying one pump of the Fresh Glow Luminous Fluid Base all over the face for a nice, healthy, and radiant glow. Then apply a pump and a half of the Fresh Glow BB Cream to smooth and even out the skin. What’s great about both these products is that they blend so beautifully, they give a nice dewy appearance, and they work on all skin tones. Also, the BB cream has SPF, which is always a plus! Then apply the Sheer Luminous Concealer under the eyes as well as on the bridge of the nose, on the cupid’s bow, and on the cheek bones for an added highlight. Finally, dust a little bit of the Light Glow Blush in Earthy No. 7 for a natural flush.

Swipe some Eye Colour Wet & Dry Silk Shadow in Almond No. 103  for a natural light brown shadow on the lids. For darker complexions, try the shade Midnight Brown No. 300. Make sure to apply the shadow all over the lids up to the crease. Also bring the eye shadow under the eyes along the lower lashline to create that gorgeous, natural haze that Burberry always does. The key is to not worry about making the eyeshadow perfect- it’s okay if it’s a bit messy! Finally, coat the lashes with the Bold Lash Mascara in No. 2 Chestnut Brown. Using a brown mascara will make the eyes look more natural and give more focus to the lips. Although neither Cara nor Amber appear to be wearing mascara in the pictures, I personally prefer using mascara, especially on a night out.

Voila! Let me know what you guys think and let me know if you try this look out!

For a more in-depth tutorial, check out this video where Burberry’s artistic consultant, Wendy Rowe, creates a very similar tutorial. I am not trying to copy her ideas, I am just trying to share with you guys a makeup look that I personally love and have worn:)

xoxo, B
